Coach Cope Captures 400th Career Win

Congratulations to Coach Chris Cope on achieving his 400th softball win. This major milestone occurred on April 19th as the Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Wampus Cats 7-1 in Conway.

Coach Cope grew up down the road in Beebe and received his Bachelors degree from ASU Jonesboro.
His 20 years of coaching began with the Lady Hornets in Harrisburg. He then traveled to Dardanelle and the Lady SandLizards where they won a state title.

Next came the Lady Panthers at Siloam Springs followed by the Lady Lions in Searcy where they also won a state title.

In 2012, Coach Cope arrived in Cabot as the head coach of the Lady Panthers.

3 state runner up
1 state championship

Arkansas Overall Girls Athletic Coach
3 softball coach of the year from the state coaches association
2 AAA softball coach of the year
NFHS Regional softball coach of the year
Arkansas Prep coach of the year

2019 Cabot Lady Panthers won the first STATE title in the school’s history defeating Bentonville. Coach Cope was named the AAA Coach of the Year.
2020: The year of COVID stopped the team from attempting to go for back to back championships.
2022: State Runner up to Bryant
2023: State Runner up to Bentonville
2024: WIN #400 April 19th Conway 7-1 To honor this achievement, the softball players signed a ball and presented it to him following the big win!!
