The Cabot Panthers Tennis team boys and girls are coached by Mary Emily Nash and Jared Walters. The team had a combined record of 3-17-1 with a state tournament appearance. Both sides of the court were young girls with 3 freshman and 7 sophomores who appear to have a bright future ahead of them. The boys team had 4 sophomores and 3 freshman along with 3 juniors and losing just one senior helps the boys to be a high contender in the future.

With the youth of the team that won't necessarily mean there will be experience as the two teams combine for only 4 seniors all coming from the boy's sides of things. The seniors and leaders of the boys team next year will be Nathan Ellis, Canon Collett, Grayson Newton and Jonathan Outlaw. The girls will have no seniors to lead them as they will rely heavily on their young core of Kelsey David who Coach Nash says to have the best footwork she's ever coached and a close to winning state championship double team, Maggie Gibson and Ryane Thurman (6-2 Conference Play).

The Cabot Tennis team has many supporting cast the parents, coaches, and other students who will encourage the team to do great next season. Tennis is a major sport and here at Cabot we are revolved around sports being one of the best sports schools in 7A with all teams making a state championship in the recent years. Tennis is no exception as we are among the best in 7A conference.

With the season coming up in the next school year we hope the Panthers continue the strive for excellence and that's what we are all about here at Cabot!

Go Panthers!
