The Cabot School District is following the Arkansas Activities Association and the Arkansas Department of Health COVID-19 policy. If you have a positive COVID result or are identified as a close contact, you can return to school in five (5) days if you meet the following requirements: • You have no symptoms • Your symptoms are improving after five days • You are fever free for 24 hours without the aid of medication For Student-Athletes the Arkansas Athletic Association has additional guidelines which must be met. Quarantine: Close Contact For any student-athlete requiring quarantine (an individual was in close contact with another individual that tested positive and has now been advised to stay at home), they must quarantine for five (5) days, then are eligible to return to participation days 6-10 but must wear a mask to do so. Participation after day 10 may occur without the mask requirement. If the student-athlete develops symptoms at any point during the 10-day quarantine period, they should self-isolate and get tested. Isolation: Positive COVID Test Step One: For any student-athlete requiring isolation (positive test from home or medical facility), they must isolate for five (5) days. Step Two: After the five-day isolation period is over, they must be seen by an approved health care provider (MD/DO/PAC/APRN) to be cleared to return back to school athletic protocol. Step Three: After being cleared by a PCP, they must then complete AAA’s 4-day return to play protocol on days 6-9, at that point they are eligible to return to participation on day 10 but must wear a mask in order to do so. They may continue participating after day 10 without the mask requirements. *Student-athletes may begin protocol prior to provider clearance. However, an individual cannot progress past Day 2 or return to competition prior to provider clearance.
